Respiratory Therapist Job Requirements

• Current Respiratory Therapist license or state-recognized credential, subject to verification
• Ability to work 12-hour overnight shifts, every other weekend, and one holiday during the assignment
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, respiratory assessment, and patient-care skills
• Ability to successfully complete required facility-specific competency and onboarding requirements

Respiratory Care Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy and clinical respiratory care to hospitalized patients across the appropriate clinical units
• Assess patients, monitor respiratory status, and deliver treatments in accordance with established care plans
• Operate and monitor respiratory equipment while maintaining patient safety
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other members of the multidisciplinary care team to support effective treatment
• Document assessments, respiratory interventions, patient responses, and other clinical information accurately
• Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and urgent respiratory-care needs
