Travel Respiratory Therapist Job Details

Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Requirements

• Two years of clinical experience in respiratory care preferred
• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
• Current Oregon Respiratory Care license
• Healthcare Provider BLS certification
• Current ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts every weekend
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and commitment to patient-centered respiratory care

Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities

• Deliver respiratory therapy treatments and diagnostic services to critical and non-critical patients
• Provide cardiopulmonary assessment, monitoring, and therapeutic support across all age groups
• Apply evidence-based respiratory care techniques to support safe, effective patient outcomes
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team
• Respond appropriately to changing patient conditions and respiratory emergencies
• Document assessments, treatments, and patient responses accurately and promptly
