Travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,390–$2,560
• Assignment Type: 13-week travel healthcare assignment
• Location: On-site in Apple Valley, California
• Healthcare Setting: Acute care hospital
• Schedule: Four 10-hour day shifts per week; variable start times of 6:00 a.m. or 7:30 a.m. A five 8-hour shift option may also be available.
• Shift Duration: 10-hour days
• Weekly Hours: 40 hours
• Start Date: November 3, 2026
• Daily Caseload: Approximately 5–12 patients
• Call Requirement: Weekend call required
• Charting System: Epic

Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
• Current California state license or authorization to practice as required for the role
• ARRT certification
• NMTCB certification
• Current BLS certification
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with radiology, cardiology, and other clinical teams
• Willingness to participate in weekend call coverage
• First-time travel technologists are welcome to apply

Nuclear Medicine Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform routine nuclear medicine imaging procedures safely and accurately
• Support nuclear medicine stress testing and related diagnostic imaging studies
• Prepare patients, explain procedures, verify clinical information, and promote patient comfort
• Administer and handle radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with applicable safety standards and departmental protocols
• Operate, monitor, and perform basic quality checks on nuclear medicine equipment
• Acquire, process, document, and transmit diagnostic images using Epic and department systems
• Maintain radiation safety practices and comply with regulatory requirements
• Communicate significant findings or technical concerns promptly to the appropriate care team
