MRI Technologist Job Details

• Location: Tuba City, Arizona
• Healthcare Setting: On-site hospital imaging department
• Travel Assignment: 13 weeks
• Start Date: November 16, 2026
• End Date: February 15, 2027
• Schedule: Tuesday through Friday, 4 shifts per week
• Shift Duration: 10-hour day shifts, 10:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,260–$2,430
• Call: No call required

MRI Technologist Job Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience performing MRI procedures
• Successful completion of radiology training from an approved radiology program
• Current Arizona license in radiology and MRI
• Current ARRT certification in Radiography (RT(R)) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Experience with PACS and RIS systems, email, and general computer applications
• Strong commitment to patient safety, diagnostic image quality, and compassionate patient care

MRI Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform general MRI and MRA examinations according to established imaging protocols
• Prepare patients for MRI procedures, explain examinations, and promote comfort and safety
• Screen patients for MRI safety considerations, including implants and contraindications
• Obtain high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining appropriate patient positioning and technical standards
• Operate and troubleshoot MRI equipment as appropriate within the scope of practice
• Document procedures accurately and manage imaging information through PACS and RIS systems
• Collaborate with radiologists, providers, nurses, and other imaging professionals to maintain optimal patient flow
• Follow departmental, regulatory, radiation, and magnetic-field safety practices
