• Shift: 12-hour day shifts; clinic hours are generally 8:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. Sunday
• Expected Hours: Approximately 36 hours per week
• Practice Model: Independent practice with remote physician supervision

Family Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, primary care, or a comparable outpatient setting
• Active North Carolina license as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Current Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant certification
• Active DEA registration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Ability to practice independently and make sound clinical decisions in a single-provider urgent care setting
• Strong communication, teamwork, documentation, and patient-service skills
• DOT certification is preferred
• Ability to support clinic coverage in Reidsville, Eden, and Mayodan

Urgent Care Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries
• Provide care for approximately 30–50 patients per day, with seasonal variation
• Perform common urgent care procedures, including laceration repair, abscess drainage, splinting, and wound care
• Order, review, and interpret diagnostic tests
• Prescribe medications and provide clear treatment instructions and patient education
• Recognize emergent conditions and coordinate appropriate escalation or referral
• Document patient encounters accurately and promptly in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with clinic staff and the remote supervising physician to support safe, efficient patient care
• Promote a positive patient experience while maintaining high standards of clinical quality
