Travel Cath Lab Technologist – Cardiac Catheterization Lab

Travel Cath Lab Technologist job in Bloomington, Illinois, supporting cardiac catheterization and acute care procedures on a collaborative cardiovascular team. This on-site travel assignment offers the opportunity to work in a high-acuity Level II trauma department that performs approximately five cases daily across two cardiac catheterization labs, a hybrid room, and a six-bed recovery area. Travel Cath Lab Technologist Job Details

• Location: Bloomington, Illinois
• Assignment Type: 13-week travel healthcare assignment
• Start Date: October 26, 2026
• Assignment End Date: January 25, 2027
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $3,170-$3,400
• Shift: 10-hour day shifts, typically 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m., with call
• Schedule: 4 shifts per week
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Call Requirements: 2-3 weeknights per week, every third weekend, and approximately 2-3 holidays per year
• Care Setting: Acute care, Level II trauma
• Charting System: Epic
• Floating: Typically not required

Cath Lab Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent Cath Lab Technologist or cardiac catheterization laboratory experience
• Recent hands-on experience with cardiac and peripheral catheterization procedures
• Cath Lab Technologist certification or equivalent professional credential
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Active Illinois license or confirmation that the Illinois licensure application process has been initiated
• Ability to work scheduled day shifts and participate in required call coverage
• Experience with Philips equipment and McKesson is preferred

Travel Cath Lab Technologist Responsibilities

• Assist with cardiac catheterization, peripheral angiography, neuro-interventional, line placement, drain placement, and loop recorder procedures
• Support care for patients with STEMI, NSTEMI, chest pain, stroke, and other cardiovascular conditions
• Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies for scheduled and emergent cardiac catheterization cases
• Operate and monitor Cath Lab equipment, including Philips monitoring systems, Philips tables, and BiPlane technology
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, technologists, and other members of the interdisciplinary cardiovascular care team
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic while following clinical, safety, and infection-control standards
• Provide dependable support during weekday, weekend, and holiday call coverage
