Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Montana
• Graduation from an accredited respiratory care program or certification through the National Board for Respiratory Care
• High school diploma or GED
• Experience with Sentry Suite pulmonary function testing and stress tests
• Knowledge of respiratory care needs across a range of patient ages
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts and adapt to changing coverage needs

Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities

• Set up and operate respiratory equipment used to diagnose and treat respiratory disease and illness
• Provide respiratory therapy services under physician direction and the supervision of the respiratory therapy leadership team
• Perform pulmonary function testing and support stress-test procedures using Sentry Suite
• Assess patient needs and select, prepare, and maintain appropriate respiratory equipment
• Monitor equipment performance and promote safe, effective use during patient care
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other members of the care team to support quality patient outcomes
