Travel Physical Therapist Job Details

• Position: Physical Therapist (PT)
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital-based rehabilitation
• Location: Cleveland, Ohio
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,990–$2,140
• Start Date: October 26, 2026
• Assignment Duration: 13-week travel physical therapy assignment
• Schedule: Five 8-hour day shifts per week; typically Monday through Friday, with two weekend shifts per month
• Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week

Physical Therapist Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of Physical Therapist experience
• Valid, current Ohio Physical Therapist license in good standing
• Current BLS certification required before the first shift
• Ability to provide physical therapy care in accordance with state practice regulations, physician orders, and hospital policies
• Strong clinical reasoning, patient communication, organization, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills

Physical Therapist Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive patient evaluations and identify functional limitations, treatment needs, and discharge goals.
• Develop, implement, and modify individualized physical therapy treatment plans based on patient progress, clinical findings, and physician direction.
• Provide individual, concurrent, and group therapy sessions according to patient needs and established length-of-stay goals.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to address barriers to discharge and coordinate continuing services.
• Complete equipment trials and ordering, patient and family education, home exercise programs, and discharge planning.
• Document evaluations, daily treatment, goals, functional assessments, medical necessity information, discharge summaries, and charges accurately and on time.
• Ensure treatment is delivered under valid physician orders and in compliance with applicable regulatory and payer requirements.
• Promote patient and workplace safety, including safe patient handling, infection prevention, fall prevention, and hazard reporting.
• Participate in quality improvement activities, professional development, and student education when assigned.
• Maintain professional licensure, complete required continuing education, and practice according to professional standards and ethical guidelines.
