Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant Job Details

• Location: New Braunfels, Texas

• Schedule: Four 10-hour day shifts per week; shifts are non-consecutive

Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as a Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant
• Current Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant certification
• Active Texas license or eligibility to practice in Texas
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Ability to provide safe and effective anesthesia care under medical supervision
• Experience with general, orthopedic, gynecologic, ENT, and cardiac catheterization lab cases preferred
• Experience with blocks, spinal anesthesia, and epidural anesthesia is welcomed but not required
• Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical documentation skills

Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive anesthesia care for a broad range of surgical and procedural patients
• Participate in pre-anesthesia evaluations, intraoperative monitoring, anesthesia administration, and post-anesthesia care
• Support cases in general surgery, orthopedics, gynecology, ENT, and the cardiac catheterization lab
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, nurses, and other members of the perioperative team
• Maintain patient safety through vigilant monitoring and timely clinical intervention
• Accurately document anesthesia assessments, interventions, and patient responses in Cerner
• Follow established clinical, regulatory, and infection-control standards
