Experienced Interventional Radiologists can join a collaborative inpatient hospital team in the Robbinsdale/Minneapolis area for a 13-week locum tenens physician opportunity. Provide adult inpatient care in a Level I trauma and thrombectomy-capable stroke center serving the Twin Cities region.

Interventional Radiology Job Details

• Position: Interventional Radiologist
• Practice Setting: Inpatient hospital-based Interventional Radiology
• Location: Robbinsdale/Minneapolis, Minnesota
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,160–$2,570
• Start Date: December 1, 2026, or as soon as credentialed
• End Date: March 2, 2027
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 8-hour daytime hospital coverage, with a minimum commitment of 2 weeks per month
• Call: Overnight beeper call with an approximately 1:2 call ratio; weekend coverage as needed
• Call-Back Expectations: Approximately 1–2 after-hours procedure call-backs per week
• Patient Population: 100% adult inpatient population
• Average Volume: Approximately 10 cases per weekday and 6 cases per weekend day
• Clinical Environment: Level I trauma center and thrombectomy-capable stroke center
• Electronic Medical Record: Epic EMR
• Openings: Multiple Interventional Radiology physician positions available

Interventional Radiologist Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical practice experience
• Completion of an Interventional Radiology fellowship
• Board Certified or Board Eligible within 5 years of residency completion
• Active Minnesota medical license preferred
• ACLS certification
• Epic experience preferred
• Ability to provide adult inpatient Interventional Radiology coverage and participate in overnight beeper call

Interventional Radiology Physician Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient Interventional Radiology coverage for adult patients
• Perform general Interventional Radiology procedures
• Perform cerebral embolectomy procedures; aneurysm management is not required
• Provide moderate sedation when clinically appropriate
• Evaluate and manage urgent inpatient procedure requests
• Respond to overnight and weekend call for time-sensitive Interventional Radiology needs
• Collaborate with hospital-based specialists, emergency teams, trauma services, and stroke care teams
• Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation in Epic
• Provide high-quality patient care in a high-acuity environment while maintaining strong patient safety standards
