MRI Technologist Job Details

• Location: Boston, Massachusetts
• Assignment Type: Hospital travel contract

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,600–$2,790
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

MRI Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as an MRI Technologist or MRI Tech
• Current MRI Technologist certification or applicable professional credential
• Valid Massachusetts license or certificate verification, as applicable
• Strong knowledge of MRI safety practices, patient screening, and magnetic resonance imaging protocols
• Ability to work collaboratively in a hospital environment and adapt to variable shifts
• Current resume, professional references, and completion of required skills documentation

MRI Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform MRI examinations according to established protocols and departmental standards
• Explain magnetic resonance imaging procedures to patients, promote comfort, and provide clear preparation instructions
• Complete thorough MRI safety screening and follow all applicable safety procedures
• Position patients appropriately and operate MRI equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
• Review images for technical quality and repeat or adjust sequences when necessary
• Accurately document procedures and communicate effectively with radiologists and the healthcare team
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized hospital imaging environment
