Travel CT Technologist Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,420–$2,600
• Location: South Charleston, West Virginia
• Healthcare Setting: Acute-care hospital CT department
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
• Assignment Dates: October 9, 2026–January 8, 2027
• Shift: 8-hour night shifts, approximately 11:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.
• Schedule: 5 shifts per week with rotating weekends and every other weekend requirements
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Call and Floating: No call or standby requirement; no floating requirement
• Charting System: EPIC

CT Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of CT technologist or computed tomography experience in a hospital or acute-care setting
• Current ARRT certification as a Radiologic Technologist, ARRT(R)
• Current ARRT certification in Computed Tomography, ARRT(CT)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Demonstrated IV insertion and contrast-injection skills
• Ability to provide safe, compassionate diagnostic imaging care to patients across all age groups
• Ability to meet applicable West Virginia state licensure and facility credentialing requirements
• Professional attire consistent with department standards, including black scrubs and a uniform jacket when required

CT Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic CT examinations according to established protocols and provider orders
• Prepare patients for procedures, explain examinations, and promote comfort and safety throughout the imaging process
• Assess IV access and administer contrast safely in accordance with department policies
• Operate CT equipment and ensure high-quality diagnostic images are obtained
• Provide computed tomography services for patients of all ages while adapting care to individual clinical needs
• Verify patient information, follow radiation-safety practices, and maintain accurate documentation in EPIC
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, physicians, and other members of the acute-care healthcare team
• Maintain a clean, organized, and patient-ready CT area while following infection-control standards
• Complete department-specific orientation and comply with all hospital policies and procedures
