Job Description
Join a Labor & Delivery team as a Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel contract in Rapid City, South Dakota. This role supports high-risk and low-intervention labor, antepartum care, OB triage, postpartum and couplet care, and normal newborn nursery care. The unit also manages complex cases, including preeclampsia, preterm labor and delivery, and patients under 35 weeks’ gestation. You should be comfortable with active labor, fetal monitoring, IV starts, cervical checks, magnesium sulfate, blood administration, insulin, C-section circulation and recovery, and caring for couplets. Experience with Level 3 or higher Labor & Delivery is preferred. Electronic charting is completed in EPIC, and the assignment includes four orientation shifts with a preceptor.
