This is a great opportunity to work at the heart of complex cardiac care while practicing alongside monitor technicians, respiratory therapy, nurse aides, and an experienced clinical team.
The assignment includes 12-hour day shifts from 6:45 a.m. to 6:45 p.m., with block scheduling and self-scheduling available. Nurses should be experienced with pre- and post-operative cardiac patients, stents, pacemakers, ICDs, CABG, and vascular procedures. BLS and ACLS are required; NIHSS is preferred. Some medication drips are titrated, including Cardizem, amiodarone, nitroglycerin, and Integrilin. Weekend and holiday coverage follows a rotation, with no call or standby requirement.
