Job description

Job Description

Join a Vascular Access Team as a travel RN supporting peripheral IV placement, PICC assessment and dressing changes, port access and flushing, line troubleshooting, blood draws as backup, and TPA administration as needed. This 16-week assignment follows a 12-hour rotating day and night schedule, with a primary need for daytime coverage and flexibility for nighttime rotations. Travelers typically rotate between a week of nights and a week of days, although mid-week changes may occur. The team works to provide approximately 48 hours between rotations when possible.

Every other weekend is required, and block schedules cannot be accommodated. Qualified candidates may come from vascular access, emergency, or infusion nursing backgrounds and should have at least two years of specialty experience, strong IV skills, ultrasound-guided IV experience, AVA certification, and recent Level I trauma experience. BLS and Epic experience within the past two years are required. PICC placement certification is welcome but not required. Reliable personal or rental transportation is strongly recommended because public transportation is not accessible in the area.

Weather

Weather in Burlington is generally crisp and seasonally cool around this time of year, with changing foliage, comfortable daytime conditions, and colder mornings and evenings. Travelers should be prepared for occasional rain and changing road conditions.
