Job Description
Take on a 13-week travel assignment as an ICU/Trauma ICU Registered Nurse in Redding, California. You will care for high-acuity trauma, neuro-stroke, head injury, ventriculostomy, and ICP-monitoring patients while managing ventilators and titrating vasopressor and sedation infusions. Experience with ICP monitoring and ventriculostomies is required, unless you have strong post-TPA experience.
This fast-paced unit requires at least 2–3 years of specialty experience, trauma experience, and the ability to interpret cardiac strips and work confidently with Hamilton ventilators. BLS and ACLS are required; PALS is preferred. Travelers will complete a proctored dysrhythmia test onsite on the first day, and the test is pass/fail. The assignment includes every-other-weekend coverage, no traveler call requirement, and potential floating to PCU, CICU, telemetry, and medical-surgical units.
