Job Description
Take your medical-surgical nursing experience on the road with a 13-week travel contract in Redding, California. This assignment supports a 30-bed medical-surgical unit caring for medical and postoperative patients. You will work 12-hour day shifts, manage a varied patient population, interpret portable telemetry when needed, and collaborate with a 24/7 hospitalist, respiratory therapy, and pharmacy team.
The role includes floating to telemetry with a 1:4 ratio and potentially between medical-surgical floors. Nurses must be prepared to complete a dysrhythmia examination. Candidates should have 2–3 years of specialty experience, previous travel experience, BLS certification, and Cerner experience. Weekend scheduling includes four weekend shifts within a four-week schedule, with holidays included in the regular staff rotation. Navy scrubs are required.
