Job Description
Take your expertise to a 13-week Cardiac ICU travel contract in Redding, California. This 12-hour night assignment is designed for an experienced ICU RN with recent experience caring for fresh open-heart patients and mixed ICU populations. Nurses should be prepared to complete a proctored dysrhythmia test onsite on day one; the test is pass/fail.
The assignment includes a typical 1:1–2 nurse-to-patient ratio, with nurses most often caring for two patients. You will work with cardiac monitoring, ventilated patients, and critical-care diagnoses while collaborating with in-house hospitalists or intensivists, 24/7 respiratory therapy, and pharmacy support. The schedule is created about six weeks in advance, with self-scheduling available before final manager review. Weekend coverage is every other weekend, and floating may include telemetry or medical-surgical units.
