Job Description
Join a 13-week travel contract as a Registered Nurse on a combined Multi Care Unit in Prescott Valley, Arizona. This acuity-adaptable assignment supports ICU, PCU, and MST patients on one unit, giving you the opportunity to care for a varied adult patient population without routinely floating between acuity levels.
The night-shift nurse will manage conditions including sepsis, respiratory arrest, pneumonia, COPD, DKA, withdrawal, abnormal blood pressure or heart rate, and postoperative complications. Responsibilities include titrating sedation, vasopressors, and insulin infusions; interpreting cardiac rhythms; completing 12-lead EKGs; and monitoring ICU patients at the bedside. Respiratory therapy support is available for vents, BiPAP, and CPAP.
Applicants should have at least two years of ICU experience, or one year of ICU plus one year of PCU or med-surg experience in a larger facility, along with BLS and ACLS certifications. A dysrhythmia exam must be passed within two attempts before contract signing. The assignment includes every-other-weekend coverage, holiday rotation, potential standby during low census, and floating with advance notice to support adult MST, ICU, or PCU assignments.
