Job Description

Join a 13-week travel assignment as a Registered Nurse in a fast-paced short-stay setting in Peoria, Illinois. You will care for adult patients with varied medical and surgical needs, including stroke, trauma, cardiac conditions, COPD, UTIs, and cellulitis. This role is well suited for an RN with solid general medical-surgical experience who is comfortable managing frequent admissions, discharges, and changing priorities.

Your responsibilities will include assessments, medication administration, vital signs, blood glucose checks, hourly rounding, telemetry monitoring, and coordination with the care team. The unit uses BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow oxygen as ordered, with no drip titration required. Travelers may float to other departments when needed and will receive one to two shifts of unit-specific orientation with a preceptor. Required credentials include an active Illinois RN license, BLS, and NIHSS.
