Job Description
This 13-week travel contract is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for 12-hour night shifts in a highly flexible Progressive Care, Stepdown, Med/Surg, and Telemetry assignment. The nurse will float across Med/Surg, behavioral health, the emergency department, ICU, and post-procedural areas according to census and staffing needs, with no designated home unit.
Ideal candidates are comfortable caring for complex medical-surgical and telemetry patients, reading EKGs and rhythm strips, recognizing dysrhythmias, and managing heparin, insulin, Lasix, amiodarone, diltiazem, and digoxin drips. EPIC experience, active ACLS and BLS certifications, and an Iowa or compact/multistate license are required. First-time travelers may be considered with at least two years of hospital nursing experience. This assignment is a strong fit for a nurse who enjoys variety and can confidently step wherever the team needs support most.
