Job Description

Join an acute medical unit in Alton, Illinois, as a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse supporting adult and geriatric patients with general medical, surgical, infectious disease, and non-acute cardiac conditions. This 12-week travel assignment includes telemetry monitoring, EKG rhythm identification, neurological assessments, pre- and post-procedure care, and management of non-titrating cardiac medication infusions. You will also care for patients experiencing acute ischemic stroke or transient ischemic attack and float within your service line and scope as needed.

The schedule features three 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with no call and no weekends. This unit welcomes first-time travelers and requires at least one year of experience plus BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications. Epic charting experience is preferred, and CPI certification is a plus. Bring your night-owl skills to a focused telemetry assignment with a predictable weekday schedule.
