Job Description
Join an acute medical unit in Alton as a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse for a 12-week travel contract. You will care for acutely ill adult and geriatric patients with general medical-surgical, infectious disease, telemetry, acute ischemic stroke, and transient ischemic attack needs. Your responsibilities will include rhythm identification, neurological assessments, pre- and post-procedure care, Epic charting, and management of non-titrating cardiac medication infusions. This assignment follows a consistent night-shift rhythm with no call and no weekend shifts.
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required, with at least one year of experience. CPI certification is preferred. Floating may be required within the service line and scope of practice, and first-time travelers are welcome.
