Job Description
Join a 13-week travel contract in Rochester, New York, as a Licensed Practical Nurse supporting a medical-surgical team on 12-hour night shifts. You will manage your own patient assignment with RN support while caring for medical-surgical patients experiencing COPD exacerbations, infections, failure to thrive, and other acute conditions.
This night-owl assignment includes medication administration, vital signs, pain assessments, intake and output monitoring, oxygen administration, feeding tube management, telemetry monitoring, 12-lead EKGs, glucose checks, basic wound care, drains, Foley catheter insertion, specimen collection, and timely status updates to the RN or provider. EPIC experience, recent acute care experience, an active New York LPN license, and BLS certification are required. Floating within your skill set may be required, with every-other-weekend and holiday availability expected.
