Neurologist Job Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree
• At least 1 year of clinical experience practicing neurology
• Board certification or eligibility in Neurology, consistent with credentialing requirements
• Active, unrestricted physician license appropriate for practice in Georgia
• Current ABLS, ACLS, and BLS certifications
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic reasoning, and patient communication skills
• EMG experience is welcomed and may be considered an advantage

Outpatient Neurology Physician Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with a broad range of neurologic conditions
• Provide comprehensive outpatient neurology consultations and follow-up care
• Perform or interpret appropriate diagnostic studies and develop evidence-based treatment plans
• Use experience with EMG, nerve conduction studies, EEG, lumbar puncture, and other neurologic procedures when clinically indicated
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment options, medications, and ongoing care
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to support coordinated, high-quality patient care
• Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation and meet applicable practice standards
