Travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job Details

• Schedule: Four 10-hour day shifts per week

Nuclear Medicine Technologist Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
• Active California Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) credential in hand
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Preferred: ARRT(N) or NMTCB certification
• Ability to rotate between diagnostic center PET/CT services and hospital nuclear medicine services
• Ability to provide weekend and holiday coverage as needed
• Strong knowledge of radioactive material handling, radiation safety, and regulatory compliance
• COVID-19 vaccination required; medical and religious exemptions may be considered

Nuclear Medicine Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform nuclear medicine examinations and PET/CT procedures across designated imaging departments
• Review orders and prepare patients, imaging equipment, and radioactive materials for procedures
• Perform basic and advanced nuclear medicine procedures with accuracy and clinical expertise
• Operate nuclear medicine imaging equipment and complete procedures according to established protocols
• Handle radioactive materials safely and maintain compliance with applicable regulations
• Provide clear instructions, reassurance, and attentive care throughout the patient experience
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and communicate effectively with radiologists and the broader care team
• Float between departments and support weekend or holiday coverage when scheduled
