Behavioral Health Travel RN Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,570–$1,650

• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks, ending February 7, 2027
• Schedule: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts
• Patient Population: Adolescent, adult, and geriatric behavioral health patients

Psychiatric Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of recent behavioral health nursing or psychiatric nursing experience
• Willingness to work flexible shifts and across adolescent and adult behavioral health units
• Strong communication, clinical judgment, and crisis-management skills
• Ability to provide safe, compassionate, patient-centered care in an inpatient behavioral health environment

Behavioral Health RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive psychiatric nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Assess patient conditions, monitor behavioral and clinical changes, and update individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established standards and provider orders
• Support patients experiencing conditions such as major depressive disorder and bipolar disorder
• Promote a safe, therapeutic environment for patients, families, and the healthcare team
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary professionals to support patient stabilization and recovery goals
• Provide care while maintaining appropriate staffing ratios, including approximately 1:10 for adult and geriatric patients and 1:12 for adolescent patients
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly
