Travel Mammography Technologist Job Details

• Position: Mammography Technologist / Radiologic Technologist
• Employment Type: 13-week travel contract
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,870–$2,010
• Location: Leonardtown, Maryland
• Start Date: November 9, 2026
• Schedule: 5 shifts per week, 8-hour day shifts
• Shift Hours: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
• Department Volume: Approximately 12 visits per day across two rooms

Mammography Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of recent Mammography Technologist experience
• At least 1 year of relevant professional experience required
• ARRT Mammography (M) and ARRT Radiography (R) credentials
• Valid Maryland Radiographer License or applicable compact licensure
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Completed radiography and mammography credentials
• Previous travel assignment experience required
• Experience with Cerner charting systems
• Proficiency with Hologic imaging and biopsy equipment, including Hologic 3D and Affirm systems
• Flu vaccination required

Breast Imaging Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality screening, diagnostic, digital, and 3-D mammography examinations
• Provide safe, compassionate care to adult and geriatric patients throughout the imaging process
• Assist with prone and upright breast biopsies, stereotactic biopsies, needle localizations, and fine-needle aspirations
• Operate and maintain Hologic mammography and biopsy equipment according to established standards
• Complete digital quality assurance procedures and follow radiation-safety practices
• Accurately document patient information and imaging procedures in Cerner
• Collaborate with the imaging team to support efficient outpatient workflow and timely patient care
