LPN Travel Job Details

• Location: Penn Yan, NY
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,560–$1,640
• Assignment Dates: November 17, 2026, through February 20, 2027
• Duration: Approximately 14 weeks
• Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week
• Shift: 8-hour day or night shifts; variable scheduling based on unit needs
• Weekend and Holiday Coverage: Every other weekend and holidays as scheduled

Licensed Practical Nurse Job Requirements

• Current and valid New York LPN licensure
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• At least 1 year of experience working as an LPN in a long-term care setting
• Ability to provide skilled nursing care for adult and geriatric residents
• Strong assessment, communication, organization, and teamwork skills
• Ability to work day or night shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled

Long-Term Care LPN Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect skilled nursing care to assigned residents under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Collect and document data related to residents’ physical and psychosocial conditions, and promptly communicate findings to the RN and interdisciplinary team.
• Contribute to individualized, age-appropriate, and culturally responsive plans of care.
• Implement nursing interventions and monitor resident responses to support positive outcomes.
• Recommend updates to plans of care and identify when additional clinical referrals may be needed.
• Collaborate with residents, families, nursing colleagues, physicians, and ancillary staff to promote safe, coordinated care.
• Maintain current nursing knowledge and clinical competency through continuing education and in-service training.
• Support staff mentoring and orientation activities within the scope of practice.
• Promote resident safety, dignity, satisfaction, and quality of life in the long-term care environment.
