Emergency Department Travel RN Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,090–$2,200
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: November 8, 2026
• End Date: February 6, 2027
• Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, 11:00 a.m.–11:30 p.m.
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Practice Setting: 50-bed Emergency Department
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 5:1

Emergency Department RN Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of recent Emergency Department or Emergency Room nursing experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in New York
• Current Emergency Department RN experience and demonstrated clinical competency
• Strong patient assessment, prioritization, communication, and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts in a fast-paced emergency care environment
• Successful completion of applicable clinical competency, rhythm interpretation, pharmacology, and onboarding requirements

Emergency Department RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, timely, and compassionate nursing care to patients presenting with emergent and urgent conditions
• Perform focused patient assessments, identify changes in condition, and promptly escalate concerns
• Triage and prioritize emergency care according to patient acuity and department needs
• Administer medications and treatments, monitor patient responses, and document care accurately
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support effective evaluation and treatment
• Prepare patients for diagnostic testing and procedures while maintaining safety and comfort
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, follow-up care, and discharge instructions
• Maintain compliance with emergency department policies, clinical standards, and professional nursing practice
