Travel RN Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,000–$2,100
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 12:00 PM–12:00 AM
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Contract: 13 weeks
• Start Date: November 1, 2026
• End Date: January 30, 2027
• Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend
• Setting: On-site emergency department

Emergency Room Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Iowa
• At least 1 year of professional nursing experience; emergency department or emergency nursing experience strongly preferred
• Current emergency nursing credentials and certifications as required for the assignment
• Strong clinical judgment, prioritization, and communication skills
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including scheduled weekends and holidays
• Successful completion of required facility onboarding, competency testing, background screening, and health clearance

Emergency Department RN Responsibilities

• Assess, triage, and provide timely nursing care to patients presenting with urgent and emergent conditions
• Monitor patient status, recognize changes in condition, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Administer medications and treatments safely according to orders and established protocols
• Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate patient care
• Assist with emergency procedures and support stabilization, treatment, and discharge planning
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the medical record
• Provide compassionate education and support to patients and their families in a high-acuity emergency department environment
