LPN Job Requirements

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
• At least 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in a medical-surgical or comparable inpatient setting
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and a 36-hour weekly schedule
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and patient-care skills
• Ability to work effectively with registered nurses, providers, therapists, patients, and families
• Commitment to safe, compassionate nursing care and evidence-based clinical practices

Medical-Surgical LPN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care and clinical support to patients in a medical-surgical environment
• Administer medications and treatments within the scope of LPN practice
• Monitor patient conditions, identify changes, and promptly communicate concerns to the appropriate clinical team members
• Perform focused assessments and document patient status, interventions, and outcomes accurately
• Assist with activities of daily living, comfort measures, mobility, and personal care
• Follow individualized care plans, infection-control practices, and patient-safety standards
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support positive patient outcomes
