Home Health Registered Nurse (RN) Travel Contract – Fort Smith, Arkansas

Join a dedicated home health care team as a Home Health Registered Nurse (RN) on a 16-week travel nursing contract in Fort Smith, Arkansas. • Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,120–$2,230
• Start Date: November 9, 2026
• Contract End Date: February 27, 2027
• Contract Length: Approximately 16 weeks
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Hours: 40 hours per week; 8-hour shifts
• On-Call Requirement: One weekday each week and one weekend per month
• Patient Care Setting: Patients’ homes and community-based home health environments
• Dress Code: Black or royal blue attire

Home Health RN Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Arkansas
• At least 1 year of professional nursing experience
• Previous home health nursing experience is required
• Associate degree in nursing or higher
• Professional nursing certification as required for the assignment
• Ability to travel throughout Fort Smith and nearby service areas
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently in patients’ homes while collaborating with the broader care team

Home Health Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide skilled, patient-centered nursing care in home health settings
• Complete comprehensive patient assessments, including OASIS assessments
• Develop, implement, and update individualized plans of care
• Monitor patient progress, identify changes in condition, and communicate concerns promptly
• Perform clinically appropriate nursing interventions and provide patient education
• Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, caregivers, and other members of the interdisciplinary team
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Manage a weekly productivity expectation of approximately 30–35 points
• Provide scheduled on-call coverage during assigned weekday and weekend rotations
