Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,030–$2,140
• Location: Fort Myers, FL 33912
• Start Date: November 30, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks, ending February 27, 2027
• Shift: 10-hour day shifts, 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Shifts per Week: 4
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Schedule: Wednesdays off
• Call: One call shift per week after a scheduled workday for approximately 2–4 hours, plus 1–2 12-hour weekend call shifts per month
• Additional Information: Floating may be required, with travelers first to float. Scrubs are provided.

Operating Room RN Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of recent Operating Room Registered Nurse or perioperative nursing experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Active Florida or compact Registered Nurse license at the time of submission
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• ACLS and PALS certification preferred
• Robotic surgery experience required
• Recent orthopedic and neurological surgical experience required
• Experience with Epic electronic medical records preferred
• Degree accreditation must be documented, or candidates must have at least 5 years of applicable experience
• Ability to float and function effectively as an integral member of the core perioperative team

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide safe, efficient nursing care throughout the perioperative experience
• Prepare operating rooms, equipment, instruments, and supplies for scheduled surgical procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia professionals, surgical technologists, and other members of the perioperative care team
• Support a broad range of procedures, including orthopedic, oncology, bariatric, vascular, neurological, trauma, and robotic surgeries
• Maintain strict adherence to surgical safety, infection prevention, and patient identification standards
• Monitor patients, anticipate surgical team needs, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Participate in scheduled and weekend call coverage
• Float to other nearby clinical locations when needed while maintaining high-quality patient care
• Accurately document perioperative care in the Epic electronic medical record
