MRI Technologist Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130–$2,280
• Location: Weston, Florida, in South Florida
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital MRI department
• Travel Contract: 13 weeks
• Start Date: November 30, 2026
• End Date: March 1, 2027
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 5 shifts per week
• Shift: 8-hour evening shifts, 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Orientation: 16 hours, with required pre-start learning modules

MRI Technologist Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of professional MRI Technologist experience
• ARRT(MR) certification required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hospital radiology or medical imaging environment
• Two professional references from a direct supervisor, manager, assistant nurse manager, or department director may be required
• Required pre-start training modules must be completed before the travel assignment begins
• Participation in required orientation assessments and MRI competency activities
• Compliance with applicable influenza and COVID-19 vaccination requirements, subject to permitted medical or religious exemptions

MRI Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform MRI examinations safely and accurately according to established imaging protocols
• Verify patient identity, screening information, clinical history, and MRI safety requirements before imaging
• Prepare and position patients while providing clear instructions and compassionate support
• Operate MRI equipment and optimize image quality for diagnostic interpretation
• Recognize and appropriately respond to patient concerns, contrast-related issues, and MRI safety risks
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure imaging procedures are completed according to department standards
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, providers, and other members of the hospital care team
• Follow infection prevention, magnetic-field safety, patient safety, and hospital policies
