• Location: Des Moines, Iowa
• Assignment Type: Travel nursing contract
• Contract Duration: 26 weeks
• Start Date: November 29, 2026
• End Date: May 29, 2027
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,750–$1,840
• Schedule: 36 hours per week; typically three 12-hour night shifts
• Shift: Approximately 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
• Weekend and Holiday Rotation: Every other weekend and every other holiday
• Work Setting: On-site medical-surgical telemetry unit

Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Iowa
• At least 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical or Telemetry nursing experience
• Demonstrated ability to care for patients requiring cardiac monitoring and physiologic monitoring
• Strong clinical judgment, patient assessment skills, and attention to detail
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, including rotating weekends and holidays
• Successful completion of required credentialing, competency validation, and pre-employment screening
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, as required for the assignment

Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, laboratory results, and changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with established orders and clinical standards
• Perform focused and comprehensive nursing assessments, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes
• Recognize and promptly communicate clinical deterioration or significant changes in patient status
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, rehabilitation staff, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, medications, procedures, and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate, timely electronic health record documentation and promote a safe, respectful patient-care environment
