• Schedule: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour nights, approximately 6:45 PM–7:15 AM
• Scheduling Note: Availability to work Christmas Eve into Christmas Day is required. Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed, though requests may be accommodated when possible.

Travel RN Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in New York
• At least 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) or acute-care nursing experience
• Previous charge nurse experience required
• Experience caring for surgical patients, including joint replacements, hip fractures, open abdominal procedures, and neck or back surgeries
• Ability to provide safe, compassionate care within the full scope of RN practice
• Strong assessment, prioritization, communication, and teamwork skills

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and patient and family support throughout the surgical care experience
• Complete ongoing assessments and collect data related to patients’ physical, psychological, emotional, educational, and spiritual needs
• Develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate individualized plans of care
• Care for patients recovering from a broad range of surgical procedures and acute medical conditions
• Recognize changes in patient condition and communicate clinical concerns promptly
• Collaborate effectively with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team
• Support quality improvement activities and the evaluation of patient care programs and services
• Demonstrate sound clinical judgment and leadership while serving in a charge nurse capacity
