Emergency Room RN Job Details

• Specialty: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)

Emergency Room Nurse Requirements

• At least 3 years of recent Emergency Room Registered Nurse or emergency department RN experience
• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of New Jersey
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification
• Current American Heart Association ACLS certification
• Current PALS certification
• ATCN or TNCC certification
• Prior experience using Epic electronic medical records (EMR)
• Current flu vaccination required

Emergency Department RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, efficient, and compassionate nursing care to patients presenting to the emergency department
• Perform patient assessments, triage, monitoring, medication administration, and ongoing reassessments
• Recognize changes in patient condition and respond promptly to urgent and emergent situations
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support timely treatment and patient flow
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in Epic
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care
