Psychiatric Registered Nurse Travel Contract in Springdale, Arkansas
Join a supportive behavioral health team as a Psychiatric Registered Nurse (Psych RN) in Springdale, Arkansas. This travel nursing opportunity is ideal for an RN with behavioral health experience who wants to make a meaningful impact in Northwest Arkansas while enjoying a welcoming community, scenic surroundings, and easy access to outdoor recreation.
Job Details
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: 8/31/2026
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM
- Shifts Per Week: 3
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,700 - $1,800
- Setting: Behavioral Health / Psychiatric Nursing
- Schedule Notes: Every other weekend required
- Location: Springdale, AR 72764 - a welcoming Northwest Arkansas community with a balanced mix of small-city comfort, growth, and access to nearby parks and trails
Job Requirements
- Active Arkansas RN license or compact/multistate RN license
- Current BLS certification
- At least 1 year of Behavioral Health RN experience
- SAMA certification preferred; training may be completed on site if needed
- Cerner experience required
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care to patients in a behavioral health and psychiatric care setting
- Monitor patient status, respond to changing needs, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
- Support therapeutic interventions and maintain a calm, patient-centered environment
- Document care accurately in the EMR and follow facility procedures and nursing standards
- Promote patient safety while working scheduled night shifts and weekend rotations
