Travel Occupational Therapist Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,260-$2,430
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Shift: 8-hour day shifts, typically 7:00 AM-3:30 PM or 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
• Shift Duration: 8 hours
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital, swingbed, observation, and outpatient occupational therapy
• Call Requirements: None
• Weekend Requirements: Possible weekend rotation; flexibility requested
• Holiday Requirements: None
• Documentation: Epic experience preferred

Occupational Therapist Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of occupational therapy experience required; 2 or more years preferred
• Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program
• Associate degree or occupational therapy certificate, as applicable to credentialing requirements
• Current Wisconsin Occupational Therapist license
• Current AHA BLS certification
• Experience or strong interest in inpatient, swingbed, observation, and outpatient occupational therapy
• Ability to work effectively with hospital and outpatient populations, including older adults and patients with chronic pain
• Strong patient assessment, treatment planning, communication, and clinical documentation skills

Travel Occupational Therapist Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized occupational therapy plans of care
• Provide inpatient, swingbed, observation, and outpatient occupational therapy services
• Support patients recovering from total joint procedures, surgical conditions, neck and low back pain, and chronic pain
• Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy focused on mobility, function, independence, and safe participation in daily activities
• Monitor patient progress, modify interventions, and communicate recommendations with the interdisciplinary care team
• Complete timely clinical documentation in the electronic medical record, preferably using Epic
• Manage an expected patient volume of approximately 6-10 patients per day while maintaining high-quality patient care
