Job Description

Join a 13-week travel assignment as a Registered Nurse supporting medical-surgical, telemetry, and intermediate-care patients in Weirton, West Virginia. You will care for patients with conditions such as pneumonia, urinary tract infections, altered mental status, gastrointestinal bleeding, alcohol withdrawal, falls, and weakness. The role includes managing 12-hour day shifts, administering medications, monitoring patients, and titrating approved drips such as heparin, Bumex, and Lasix. Cardiac drip titration is not required.

The schedule is generally arranged in blocks of day or night shifts, with flexibility expected to help cover staffing needs. Travelers work every other weekend and may participate in holiday rotation. Floating may be required to other medical-surgical, telemetry, or intermediate-care areas with lower-acuity patients. One day of computer and educator orientation followed by one day with a preceptor helps you get settled into the assignment.
