Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent permanent medical-surgical telemetry nursing experience
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or an active compact-state license in hand at the time of submission
• Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Strong cardiac rhythm recognition and telemetry-monitoring skills
• One professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty, completed within the past 12 months
• Ability to complete required screening, competency assessments, orientation, and pre-start documentation
• Required nursing licenses and certifications must be active and available at the time of submission

Travel Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a medical-surgical telemetry and acute-care setting
• Perform patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes
• Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and recognize changes in patient condition, escalating concerns promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely while following established clinical standards and patient-safety practices
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, recovery, and discharge needs
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and promote patient safety throughout each shift
