• Schedule: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday; 10:30 a.m.–7:00 p.m.

• Orientation: 16 hours

Food Service Worker Job Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 6 months of related food service experience
• Food and Nutrition Services certification or relevant training, as required
• Ability to follow food safety, sanitation, infection prevention, and dietary procedures
• Ability to work scheduled weekend day shifts and remain on your feet for extended periods
• COVID-19 vaccination and influenza vaccination are required, with medical or religious exemptions considered according to applicable policy

Hospital Dietary Services Responsibilities

• Prepare, assemble, portion, and deliver meals and nourishment items according to established dietary guidelines
• Ensure meal trays are accurate, attractive, timely, and appropriate for each patient’s diet order
• Assist with food preparation, serving, stocking, and replenishing supplies
• Maintain clean, sanitary, and organized work areas, equipment, and service areas
• Follow proper food handling, temperature control, sanitation, and infection prevention standards
• Communicate professionally with patients, visitors, nursing staff, and the dietary services team
• Support dishwashing, tray collection, waste disposal, and other daily dietary services activities as assigned
