MRI Technologist Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,380–$2,550
• Assignment Type: 13-week MRI technologist travel assignment
• Location: Columbus, Ohio
• Start Date: November 9, 2026
• End Date: February 8, 2027
• Schedule: 4 night shifts per week
• Shift Duration: 10-hour nights; approximately 9.5-hour shifts from 9:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.
• Weekly Hours: Approximately 40 hours
• Call: Three weekday day shifts per month and one weekend call approximately every 12 weeks
• Weekend and Holiday Coverage: Required as scheduled
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital MRI department
• Charting System: Epic

MRI Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of MRI Technologist experience; strong candidates with 1.5 years of experience and large-hospital or Level I experience may be considered
• ARRT certification or NMTCB certification
• Current BLS certification
• Recent experience operating Siemens MRI scanners is required
• Epic charting experience is required
• Experience with IV starts is strongly preferred
• Cardiac imaging experience is a significant plus
• Ability to provide safe, professional care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients

MRI Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI examinations in accordance with established imaging protocols and MRI safety standards
• Operate 1.5T Siemens Aera scanners for neuro, musculoskeletal, and abdominal imaging
• Perform specialty MRI examinations, including breast imaging, enterography, and imaging of patients with pacemakers
• Complete thorough MRI safety screening and assess patients for contraindications before examinations
• Initiate and maintain IV access when clinically appropriate
• Safely image ICU patients using MRI-compatible monitoring and support equipment
• Document examinations and patient information accurately in Epic
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, providers, and interdisciplinary support teams to ensure efficient patient flow and excellent patient care
• Participate in scheduled call, weekend, and holiday coverage
