Patient Care Technician Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as a Patient Care Technician, Nursing Assistant, or in a comparable patient-care role
• Experience or familiarity with outpatient, ambulatory, or infusion care settings preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow patient-safety procedures and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Ability to remain attentive and compassionate while assisting patients throughout their visit

Outpatient Infusion Patient Care Responsibilities

• Assist clinical staff with routine patient-care activities in the outpatient infusion setting
• Help prepare patients for treatment and provide comfort and support during visits
• Obtain and document routine patient information as directed by the care team
• Monitor patients for changes in comfort or condition and promptly communicate concerns to licensed staff
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe patient-care environment
• Follow established infection-control, patient-safety, and privacy procedures
• Support efficient patient flow and collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals
