Travel Respiratory Therapist Job Details

• Location: Cleveland, Ohio
• Assignment Type: Hospital travel contract
• Start Date: November 30, 2026
• End Date: May 17, 2027
• Contract Duration: 24 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,630–$1,750
• Schedule: Night shift, 3 shifts per week
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights, approximately 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Coverage: Weekends as needed
• Floating: May be required to support nearby hospital respiratory care locations
• Orientation: 16 hours

Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in a hospital or clinical respiratory care setting
• Active Ohio Respiratory Therapist license in hand at the time of submission
• Current NBRC credential in hand at the time of submission
• Current BLS certification in hand at the time of submission
• Recent professional references from a manager, supervisor, assistant nurse manager, or director in the applicable specialty
• Ability to complete required background screening, health screening, and facility compliance requirements
• COVID-19 and influenza vaccination required, with medical or religious exemptions considered according to applicable policy
• Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends as needed, and float when required

Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services to hospital patients across a variety of acuity levels
• Assess, monitor, and document patients' respiratory status and response to treatment
• Administer respiratory treatments and therapies according to established clinical protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
• Respond to respiratory emergencies and support airway management as appropriate to scope of practice
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and communicate changes in patient condition promptly
• Adapt to varying unit needs and provide coverage at additional nearby locations when assigned
