Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) Travel Nursing Job – Pikeville, Kentucky

Travel RN Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800–$1,890
• Contract Length: 8 weeks
• Start Date: November 16, 2026
• Nursing Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.
• Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours per week
• Healthcare Setting: On-site inpatient Med/Surg and Telemetry units
• Scheduling: No blocked scheduling; every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Floating: May float among Med/Surg/Telemetry and other inpatient areas; occasional aide assignments may be required to support unit needs

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Job Requirements

• Active Kentucky or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• Previous Level I or Level II Trauma experience required
• Associate degree or nursing certificate required
• Current AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Successful completion of an EKG assessment during the compliance process
• CareView or Epic electronic health record (EHR) experience preferred
• Ability to work 48 hours per week and participate in weekend and holiday rotations

Med/Surg Telemetry Travel Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize changes in patient condition, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with orders and clinical protocols
• Complete patient assessments, care planning, clinical documentation, and discharge education
• Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary care team to support positive patient outcomes
• Float to other inpatient units and provide patient-care support as assigned
• Promote patient safety, infection prevention, and quality nursing standards
