Certified Nursing Assistant Job Requirements

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license or certification eligible for practice in Colorado
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• At least 1 year of experience in a skilled nursing facility, long-term care, or extended care setting
• Experience caring for geriatric residents and patients with dementia, COPD, CHF, or deconditioning preferred
• Ability to provide dependable patient care during 12-hour day shifts
• Strong communication, teamwork, clinical support, and patient-safety skills

Travel CNA Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, person-centered care to residents in the Extended Care Unit
• Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility
• Measure and document vital signs, intake and output, and changes in resident condition
• Support fall prevention, repositioning, transfers, ambulation, and other mobility needs
• Observe residents for changes in physical or mental status and promptly report concerns to the nursing team
• Maintain accurate patient documentation in the Athena electronic medical record system
• Promote resident dignity, comfort, infection prevention, and a safe care environment
