MRI Technologist Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,490–$2,670
• Location: Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital-based Magnetic Resonance Imaging department
• Travel Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: November 23, 2026
• End Date: February 21, 2027
• Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week, Tuesday through Friday
• Shift: Evening shift, 1:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
• Call: Backup weekend call approximately every 4–5 weekends
• Holidays: Holiday coverage required

Travel MRI Technologist Requirements

• At least 1 year of MRI Technologist experience required; 2 or more years preferred
• ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification required
• Experience working with trauma patients and in a hospital MRI environment
• Strong knowledge of MRI safety procedures, screening protocols, and contrast-related practices
• Ability to work four consecutive evening shifts and participate in scheduled backup call
• Professional state license is not required for this assignment

MRI Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI examinations in accordance with established protocols and safety standards
• Provide diagnostic imaging support for trauma and general hospital patients
• Screen patients for MRI safety risks, implants, contraindications, and relevant medical history
• Prepare patients for examinations, explain procedures, and promote comfort throughout the scan
• Operate MRI equipment and adjust imaging parameters to obtain diagnostic-quality studies
• Recognize and respond appropriately to urgent patient needs and imaging-related concerns
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow department, infection prevention, and MRI safety practices
• Participate in assigned backup weekend call and holiday coverage
