Occupational Therapist Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,890–$2,030
• Location: Rockford, Illinois
• Healthcare Setting: Outpatient pediatric clinic
• Start Date: November 16, 2026
• Travel Contract Length: 13 weeks, ending February 13, 2027
• Schedule: Monday through Friday availability; approximately 36 hours per week across 12-hour daytime shifts, with some flexibility in daily scheduling
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts
• Weekends and Holidays: Not required

Pediatric Occupational Therapist Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of occupational therapy experience, preferably in an outpatient pediatric setting
• Experience supporting children with sensory integration needs, autism, and developmental delays
• Experience treating pediatric patients from birth through age 13
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
• Active Illinois Occupational Therapist license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Strong communication, clinical reasoning, and family-centered care skills

Pediatric Occupational Therapy Responsibilities

• Evaluate pediatric patients and develop individualized occupational therapy plans of care
• Provide outpatient pediatric therapy focused on functional development, participation, and independence
• Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy interventions for sensory processing challenges, autism, and developmental delays
• Address fine motor skills, gross motor coordination, activities of daily living, and age-appropriate functional abilities
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans based on clinical findings
• Educate and collaborate with caregivers and members of the interdisciplinary care team
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with professional and regulatory standards
